School life
Below you can see examples of timetables for autumn and spring.
The subject classes are marked in green. These classes have been added to Tuesdays and Fridays so that the classes can travel on weekdays. This applies especially to the outdoor classes.
Electives are offered on Monday and Friday. With us, you choose one elective on Monday and one on Friday. There are also electives in the evening. In the spring semester, we have electives all Friday. Here, many choose our unique offer within ski/boarding electives.
Community group is a weekly class where those who live together meet with a teacher to discuss issues that arise when living close together in a community. The classes are also used to plan joint activities. Here you learn about dialogue, democracy, conflict management and the value of a community.
Choir is scheduled approximately 6 Fridays in the fall semester. Here you sing together with your own voice under the direction of our very skilled choir teacher and pianist.
Theme classes are public education in practice. We invite various social actors who teach us about various topics. We have visits from Mental Health in Gol, the Health Station, the mayor of Gol who talks about political engagement, the Salvation Army about poverty, the Human Resources Manager in the municipality who talks about how to get a job, Elections and emergency preparedness with the emergency manager in the Fire Service, First Aid at the ambulance service.
Saturday activities vary every Saturday. There may be lectures with exciting speakers, line seminars where each line has activities with the rest of the school, events, physical activities and creative activities.
Practical tasks are part of the shared responsibility when living together. These tasks are taken in turns so that everyone gets a little bit of everything. Tasks that need to be done are helping our friendly kitchen staff with serving and washing up. There is also some cleaning of common areas and the dormitory. The students have full responsibility for cleaning the student kitchen which is used during free time.
Evening activities are mainly organized by students in the leadership development program and by the students together.
