Events
Hallingdal Folk High School organizes various events throughout the year. Below you can see some of them.
Last year's reunion/reunion
We invite last year's students at the end of October for reminiscence and some entertainment. It's always great to meet up with former students!
Christmas closing
Just before the Christmas holidays, we are hosting a Christmas tree party with a Christmas dinner for our students, board members, and staff with their families. The student council and administration are jointly responsible for the event.
New Year's Ball
Bring out your fancy dress! The student council and volunteers are organizing a stylish New Year's ball in January/February. Sometimes the ball comes a little later and becomes a Spring Ball...
Winter party
We invite family and friends to Vinterfest the first weekend of the winter break. Here you can get a little taste of everyday life at a folk high school.
On Thursday evening you can come and have dinner with us and join in the quiz, singing and activities in the fireplace room.
On Friday you are welcome to take part in electives on the ski slope or inside the school. On Friday evening there is entertainment, singing and music.
On Saturday you will get an insight into the different lines presented by the students themselves.
The Winter Festival then ends with a delicious lunch, before returning home and winter break.
Graduation
The end of school is usually scheduled for the last Saturday of the school year. We once again invite family and friends to a formal end together with this year's students.
Sunday is the return trip for everyone, and the school year is now officially over.
Former students
Are you a former student and would like to reunite with your classmates?
Contact kjokken@hallingdalfhs.no to find out when there is free capacity at the school. This is generally after May 17th and until the start of school at the end of August.
The school does not have any events for former students, but several people contact us to rent premises, or just to come by and reminisce a bit.
You are most welcome back to school. It is always nice to greet former students!
